If you are proud of it, you want to share it with like-minded people. Even more frustratingly, if you make the effort and spend the money to get your voice out to the public, many people buy one copy and Xerox it. The reproduction costs are almost free through a digital format and photocopies.
We thought that the concepts and technology developed by the software industry (Shareware for publication, eBooks for distribution, and OpenSource Communities through an Internet-based bulletin board) might increase the creativity associated with our favorite holiday.
