 THE MASTER’S ATTITUDE
Every action you perform can be crucial. You may recall this old adage, "for want of a nail, the kingdom was lost." Keep this in mind: even your seemingly least important act can have a big effect on your life.

A chess master can move a pawn just one square forward -- a seemingly insignificant move -- and change the game’s outcome. The novice may not realize this. What the master knows that the novice may not is that the game may be won or lost well in advance, depending on the quality of just one move. We all discovered this as children as we mastered the simple game of tic tac toe.

When reviewing events, one act may seem to stand out as a crucial turning point. But with more thorough inspection, we may find that every act is actually important -- because every act has the potential to set off a chain of events that can have enormous future consequences. A small thoughtful act can lead to the development of a great friendship, career opportunity or a love relationship.

Masters know this and therefore always try to focus the full power of their consciousness upon every act -- no matter how basic or mundane the task.

This becomes the norm for masters, producing peak performance and great satisfaction in everything they do.

It’s wise to adopt this attitude, for once you make it your norm, like compounded interest, as the weeks, months and years pass, you’ll realize an incredible stream of positive returns -- well beyond your current hopes and expectations.

Goodness and joy to all, Joseph.

HARMONIOUS LIVING

Often, we may unwittingly reduce our capacity to have a good life by creating unnecessary tension and conflict within ourselves and with others.

For example, say we’re caught in a traffic jam and instead of accepting conditions for what they are, going with the flow and making the best of things, we cut in and out of lanes trying to get ahead of others. By taking this approach we may only annoy or challenge others and cause unnecessary tension and conflict for all concerned.

Another example: say we need to live within a tight budget, but suddenly see something we really want (but can’t afford). Instead of accepting our financial limitations and moving on, we may get caught up in an inner struggle -- to buy or not buy -- and produce tension no matter what we do. If we upset our budget, we may feel a degree of personal failure and get down on ourselves, and if we deny ourselves what we want, we may feel sorely deprived. Unless we learn to nip inner conflict in the bud, we may cause ourselves much unnecessary stress and discontent.

Or: say we’re confronted with a friend’s opinion that strongly differs from ours. If we just try to shoot it down instead of simply hearing and acknowledging it, we may unnecessarily launch a very unpleasant, tension-filled argument and weaken the friendship. Certainly not the result we wanted.

In many cases such as these, it’s possible to live more harmoniously and get better results. But first we have to become aware that we are unnecessarily creating much of the tension and conflict in our lives. Then we may choose to act differently and have a more harmonious life.

SOUL VISION

Trapped in constant mind chatter, our chance for having new awareness is severely impaired. Our 'higher' perceptual channels shut down and our sense of reality is controlled by past impressions -- essentially our biases, prejudices and opinions. So what can we do?

The answer is simply to STOP THE MIND CHATTER AND DEEPLY TUNE IN.

While mind chatter is somewhat necessary and unavoidable, we needn't be continually lost in it. We can practice slowing down and getting quieter in our head. And as we do this, we can then tune-in to a deeper self. We can make a meditative shift that can be done any time, any place.

And as we do this we become more intuitive, empathetic, psychic and objective. We begin to see in a more spiritually grounded way.

We might say that we develop soul perception or begin to 'see with the eyes of our soul." And as we see in this way, life is transformed. We live on a higher plane. We tune in to more beauty, goodness, and better ideas for taking action.

Take breaks from mind chatter and make greater use of the eyes of your soul.

Goodness and joy to all, Joseph.

 LIFE MASTERY IN A NUTSHELL
Spiritual life-mastery can be formulated in one simple principle. No matter how difficult or onerous the situation or task, if we bring a fully present loving self to it, things go better. This applies to just about anything -- dealing with others, your job, decision making, maintaining good health, etc.

If we approach everything with our most attentive loving self, we experience life at our best. And what's more, as we develop a greater capacity to be loving and to be fully present, we experience higher levels of life satisfaction and success ... and the divine.

This means that even a mundane task may not only become pleasant or enjoyable, it can become an even higher experience whereby we may ecstatically rejoice in it. It also means that all our relationships and activities can provide new opportunities for deep soul satisfaction, more than we may now imagine. A great sense of wonder, reverence and creative excitement may be found everywhere.

This level of living is what I call -- living in your divine zone. And it’s for anyone who chooses it by focusing on being extra loving and present throughout each day. This is the key commitment that transforms life. But don't take my word for it. Experiment with being more deeply focused and loving each minute of the day and see what happens.

Goodness and joy to all, Joseph.
